This was done for a “weekly sketch” thing on a forum a couple years back. I guess the topic was made up by people who were tired of cultural theory terminology. It was a fun drawing to make, but looking back, I’m realizing that I am basically a socialist feminist cyborg. Maybe not a goth, though. And maybe I’m a bit more of an anarchist than a socialist. I’m probably neither.
One thing I got right though: the bitterness.
Pencil on Paper

Marker on Paper, 2005
Still in the Zombie Phase. The background was made black in Photoshop, but all the rest is those fancy toxic markers. And some white-out, which is probably also toxic.
Ink on Paper, 2003
Another class project. This one was also based on a collage, as well as the passage “Thin Cities” from Italo Calvino’s Invisible Cities. The collage that inspired this piece was cobbled together from photos taken around Vancouver.
