Ink on Bristol

I did this comic for Cloudscape’s upcoming “Funday Sunnies” anthology.  I want to share my full colour version, but I’m gonna hold off until the book’s been out for a little while.  You know, so we can sell a few comics before I give everything away for free.  For the moment, you’ll have to make do with this teaser.

Awesome! Who’s the bastard that threw the brick?

  2. Christopher says:

    Thanks, Rach!

As for the brick, that’s up for you to decide. Maybe it was a criminal, or maybe it was me. Or maybe it was a tragic demolition accident. But, no, I’m pretty sure it was intentional.

  3. Rachel says:

You DO look pretty smug in the one panel. And you’re not the type to “accidentally” throw a brick to the face.

At first I thought they were pies, but then for a second I thought you were being political, and that they were giant coins pulping heads, what with this whole economic crisis business (before I figured pies again.)

…I suspect the full colour would make that instantly clear. Unless the pies were strawberry.

  5. Christopher says:

Yes, the pies are all coconut-cream or some-such. White filling.

I really like the idea of giant coins pulping heads, but it is a little unsubtle – even for me. However, the pies are totally political, if obliquely so.
